Troubleshooting FLIR Raspberry PI Setup

I have been attempting to configure my FLIR Lepton 3 module with a Raspberry PI 0 W board running Raspbian 9 Stretch without success, despite following various guides. In this article, I will outline the issues I encountered and the troubleshooting steps I took to resolve them.

My setup consists of a Lepton thermal camera breakout v1.4 connected to a Raspberry PI Zero W board. I have tried using both LeptonModule (C and C++) and pylepton (Python) libraries without achieving the desired result. The wiring configuration is identical to that described in the walkthrough, so if it is indeed incorrect, a correct wiring setup would be greatly appreciated.

To troubleshoot these issues, I removed and reinserted the Lepton camera into its breakout board, experimented with different pin configurations for the CS pin (tried #26, #24, also known as CE0 and CE1), and modified the LeptonThread.cpp file based on some answers provided here.

When attempting to capture images using either LeptonModule or pylepton, I receive an error message indicating 'Error transferring SPI packet' and the terminal output remains empty. In addition, I have to press Ctrl+C to cancel the command line process as it becomes unresponsive. The I2C and SPI buses have been enabled through raspi-config.

I followed all official FLIR recommendations, connecting the Lepton module to the Raspberry PI in the correct way (SPI0 port, CE0 as CS pin). However, when attempting to run the capture program, I get a pop-up screen with a black background and a red square in the upper left corner. This result is unresponsive and does not provide any useful information.

Overall, my goal is to successfully set up and use the FLIR Lepton 3 module with my Raspberry PI devices. Any guidance or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.
